History:
The ship was built in 1943 at the American Shipbuilding Company, Buffalo USA. It was used in World War II during the invasion of Normandy (D Day). In 1950, after completing its initial mission, a company from Newcastle named France, Fenwick Tyne & Wear Co. Ltd bought it. Till the 1970 the ship sailed under the British flag with the name Grangetown. In 1970 Brodospas, a ship recovery and towing company from Split, Croatia purchased the ship where it was to be used as a ship tower until 1992.
We purchased it in 1992 and gave it a current shape of a sailing yacht. This beautiful yacht, that is now at the final phase of reconstruction, with all the amenities of the 21st century yet retains the look of an early 20th century sailing vessel.
The final phase of reconstruction is under way and will be completed by the end of May 2006.
Accommodations
Upper deck:
There is spacious command bridge with additional area where the guests can join the captain during the navigation.
Behind the command bridge there are two owner cabins, each with en-suite bathroom.
Just outside is sun deck with the Jacuzzi, sun mattresses and shower with hot water hidden in the funnel.
All indoor areas fully air-conditioned.
Main deck:
At the bow part of the main deck is one VIP cabin with king size bed, en-suite bathroom, wardrobe, table and one one-berth cabin, also with en-suite bathroom. Showers include inbuilt massage capabilities and a radio.
To the rear on the right side of the yacht is gym and shared toilet. On the left side is the galley and space for the crew.
The whole area opens in the spacious dining room for 12, small bar and main spiral stairway leading to the lower deck in the guest cabins or up to the sun deck.
Dining room is connected with spacious leisure area with comfortable sofas, coffee tables, LCD screen, DVD player and 3D surround system.
Large windows surround the area allowing plenty of daylight to fill the room.
Large sliding doors connect leisure area and semi-enclosed stern that also features a table for 12 for dining in the open area, sofa, plenty of room, and stairway which also leads to the sun deck.
All indoor areas fully air-conditioned.
Lower deck:
There are 5 guests cabins, each with king size bed, wardrobe, table and en-suite bathroom. Showers include inbuilt massage capabilities and a radio.
Following that is separate area for the crew which includes two one-berth cabins, each with en-suite bathroom.

Cruising and routes:
The yacht will depart SPLIT, Croatia on a weekly basis. Although we offer a few already well-established routes, covering the North, Middle and South Dalmatia, the final route will be tailored in accordance to the guests wishes as much as possible. We strongly recommend the tailoring in order to avoid possible congestions in major ports during peak season. However, the captain retains the right to any last minute changes due to weather conditions.
Rent and payment options:
Prices are for the rent of the whole boat, regardless of how many guests are on the boat.
A 50% deposit of the full price is required at the time of booking. Balance is due at least 4 weeks prior to departure.

Includes:
Insurance policy (pro rata) for the yacht, the crew (captain, sailor, cook and waitresses), daily fuel - up to 4 hours travelling, linen and towels. The linen is changed twice a week and the towels every second day.
Excludes:
Any visits to national parks or mooring in marinas. Due to local and government charges these will incur additional fees and will be charged separately.
Meal expenses and options:
Weekly meal expenses will be charged separately per person.
Half board (breakfast/lunch): 300 EUR / week per person
Full board (HB+ dinner): 450 EUR / week per person
Drinks will be charged separately. BYO is not allowed.
PAYMENT CONDITIONS:
- 50% ADVANCE payment - upon reservation.
- 50% BALANCE payment - 5 weeks before charter period.
